I’m going to jump right in with a conversation I had this weekend. I was telling a friend about a group I belong to, the group is inspired by Weston A. Price http://www.ppnf.org/catalog/ppnf/ and meets once a month to share knowledge on how to be healthy. I don’t recall the exact words or what prompted them but my friend made a comment about how the rest of world thinks that people in groups like this are crazy. Later as I was contemplating this comment I thought how sad we have become as a society when people who care about their health. Who know that the quality of the food they put into your body greatly influences their health. Who do not want to rely upon surgery and drugs to keep their body going and know in the long run they won’t work. Who take the quote from --Hippocrates, known as the father of medicine "Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food." seriously. Are considered crazy. But, people who believe that they can eat any kind of food they want, even food with zero nutritional value and loaded with toxins (plastic food, as I call it), and still maintain vibrant health. Who figure there is a pill or a surgery for all that ails them and take no responsibility for their own health, i.e. blaming genetics. Who believe children can thrive on donuts and soda pop. Who mock, ridicule and belittle those who are trying to institute changes to improve their health and the health of their family. These are the sane ones?
